Here are some tips that you may find helpful in decorating your bathroom.
Tip 1.
Colors. Playing with colors is always one of the most fun to do when decorating a room is concerned. Think monochrome.
Assuming you got light yellow as your main theme. It’s the color of your walls, your tiles, and your fixtures, like the bathtub, toilet and vanity sink. You don’t want to be boring by making everything in your bathroom light yellow, do you?
What you can do is get different shades of yellow – from dark to bright and light – and add that splash of life into your bathroom through your accessories like towels, shower curtain, toilet seat cover, toilet tank cover, soap dishes, shampoo dispenses, toothbrush holder and tumbler.

Tip 2.
For added charm and warmth, throw in a bath rug. It may be of oriental theme, or modern and contemporary, or something that you had made yourself.
But remember keep within your color scheme. With your light yellow bathroom, browns or oranges can be a match and would add old world and rustic charm to your otherwise ordinary bathroom.
Tip 3.
Needlework can make your walls look lively. Small pieces of samplers, nicely framed, and grouped together on your wall make a unique ambience. Make it personal and frame something that you had done yourself.
Tip 4.
Aromatherapy candles. Smell the lavender or lemongrass or roses. Scatter big and small candles all over – on top of the toilet tank, at one corner of the bathtub, even by the vanity cabinet.
They not only provide a very aromatic experience, it relaxes your sense while you have a deep soak in your bathtub after a long day of work. Again, match with your color theme, and you have one big warm bathroom to look forward to everyday.

Tip 5.
Pictures and posters are good wall décor if done well. You must follow your color scheme, i.e. if you have an all-white bathroom, various pictures and posters of different sizes may be all be framed in black, and hung on one wall, grouped together. Because of high moisture levels, this is more recommended for powder rooms than a bathroom.
Tip 6.
Tiles. You may use tiles to liven up your bathroom. Using glass mosaic as borders and backsplashes, or even accents on the walls or your bathroom floor.
Color coordination is a must as glass mosaic come in various shades and colors. You won’t have a difficult time finding one that matches your main color theme.
You can also use ceramic or porcelain tiles of solid colors. Using one color as a base, and choosing another color as a contrast and placing this on one focal point of the room – could be the wall or the floor.
There simply are just many ideas – just use your imagination and let your tastes and preferences prevail. It is your bathroom at the end of the day.
